The Emily Program Expands Access with New Lodging for Adults in their Atlanta-based Partial Hospitalization Program for Eating Disorder Treatment

Patients Traveling for Treatment Can Recover in The Emily Program’s Supportive Homelike Setting

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Emily Program, a national leader in eating disorder specialty care and behavioral health services, today announced new lodging in Atlanta for adults participating in its Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The homelike space provides a supportive setting where patients traveling for care can focus on recovery, build independence, and feel safe throughout treatment. Located in a welcoming neighborhood within walking distance of the treatment program, the fully furnished lodging includes modern amenities, access to a pool, outdoor lounge, community space, onsite laundry, and a private, multi-level parking garage.

“It is common for people to travel—often to a different state—to receive specialized eating disorder care,” said Taylor Rae Homesley, Executive Director of The Emily Program’s Child, Adolescent, and Adult Treatment Center in Atlanta, Georgia. “Traveling allows patients to access the right level of support, escape environmental triggers, and maintain privacy. By removing logistical barriers and fostering independence, this lodging lets patients focus fully on what matters most—their recovery.”

“We know that beginning life-saving eating disorders treatment can be disruptive to everyday life, just like with other illnesses, particularly if that care is far from home,” said Brad Smith, Chief Medical Officer of The Emily Program. “Having a nearby place to stay during treatment, especially with others that understand what you are going through, helps make that care easier to engage with and for some, is the difference between being able to get the care they need or having to settle for less suitable care or no care at all.”
