  • Delivering facultative reinsurance across Property, Financial Lines, Marine, Construction & Natural Resources, Entertainment, and Multinational Services.
  • Strategically located in Miami's Brickell financial district at the heart of Latin America's (re)insurance market.

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Allianz Commercial announces the completion of its Miami Latin America Hub with a fully established leadership team in place and ready to serve clients and brokers across the region.

Located at 1111 Brickell Ave., 10th Floor, Miami, FL, the new hub strengthens Allianz Commercial's presence in Latin America and enhances its ability to deliver facultative reinsurance and commercial insurance solutions across Property, Construction & Natural Resources, Entertainment, Financial Lines (including Cyber), Marine, and Multinational Services.

The Miami hub supports Allianz Commercial’s business operations in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, while expanding reinsurance business into additional Latin American territories, including Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Panama. From Miami, the team connects regional client and broker needs with Allianz Commercial’s global underwriting, technical, and capacity platforms.

Guilherme Bizzo, who co-led the Miami Hub project from its inception, relocated to Miami from Brazil in December to lead the Regional Managing Director office, as well as Multinational and Alternative Risk Transfer operations. In this role, he is responsible for driving the hub’s strategy and execution, overseeing multinational and alternative risk solutions, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives to ensure effective integration with Allianz Commercial’s global network.

Angelica Torres, Head of Facultative Desk, leads the Miami reinsurance operations, coordinating placements, managing broker relationships, and expanding facultative capacity across all lines of business in the region.

Eduardo Fontes, Head of Distribution, leads regional distribution strategy and business development across Latin America, strengthening broker partnerships and identifying market opportunities.

Felipe Orsi relocated from Brazil in December as Head of Property, leading property facultative reinsurance and insurance strategy across Latin America, with responsibility for underwriting complex property risks and expanding the regional portfolio.

Ivan Coronado, Head of Natural Resources & Construction, oversees risks across Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Heavy Industries, and Construction, delivering specialized solutions for these complex sectors.

Monica Oyaga, relocating from Colombia in early 2026 as Head of Long Tail, leads the underwriting strategy, portfolio management, and technical excellence across Financial Lines, Cyber, Entertainment and other long-tail solutions, strengthening the hub's capabilities across the full spectrum of commercial risks.

Daniel Castrillon, Chief Technical Officer, relocated from Colombia in December and leads Latin America's technical operations, with responsibility for underwriting discipline, risk assessment frameworks, portfolio quality, and technical excellence across all lines of business.

The Miami-based leadership team works in close partnership with Gabriela Rosa (Brazil) and Diego Reppetti (Argentina), who complete the regional leadership structure from their local bases, ensuring strong on-the-ground presence and close coordination with operating entities across Latin countries.

David Colmenares, Managing Director for Latin America at Allianz Commercial, said: "Having our leadership team in place ahead of our official February launch demonstrates our commitment to Latin America and the Americas region as a whole. This team combines deep local market knowledge with global capabilities, positioning us to deliver exceptional value to our broker partners and clients. The Miami Hub, working hand-in-hand with our operating entities in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, strengthens our ability to serve the region's evolving (re)insurance needs and accelerates our growth as a unified Americas organization."

The official opening ceremony will take place in February 2026 during Miami (Re)insurance Week.
