Adams Outdoor Advertising Acquires Select Assets from Parkway Outdoor, Further Expanding Dominant Charlotte Market Footprint

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Adams Outdoor Advertising announced today that it has completed the acquisition of select assets from Parkway Outdoor. The transaction includes 15 assets, comprised of 14 static faces and one digital display, further strengthening Adams Outdoor’s leadership position in the Charlotte, North Carolina market.

Adams Outdoor strengthens its dominance in the Charlotte market by acquiring high-value billboard assets along the region’s most critical airport and commuter corridors.

The seller utilized Johnsen, Fretty & Company, who provided closing assistance for the transaction.

This strategic tuck-in acquisition enhances Adams Outdoor’s already dominant presence in Charlotte while adding highly desirable inventory along key transportation corridors most heavily used by travelers heading to and from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). Several of the newly acquired assets are located along major arteries such as I-77, a primary route for commuters, airport traffic, and regional travel. In addition, the acquisition includes a single-face digital display located on I-85 South near North Concord/Kannapolis, a critical inbound corridor feeding Charlotte, University City, CLT Airport, and Uptown. Together, these locations provide exceptional visibility and frequency on the region’s most important commuter and travel routes.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) has demonstrated sustained, long-term growth, now serving nearly 60 million passengers annually and ranking among the busiest airports in the United States. A significant portion of this volume consists of local origin-and-destination travelers who access the airport via Charlotte’s primary highway corridors—many of which are directly served by Adams Outdoor’s newly acquired billboard assets. As CLT continues to expand capacity to meet rising demand, these high-traffic access routes represent durable, high-value exposure that enhances asset quality, advertiser demand, and long-term market fundamentals in the Charlotte metro area.

Upon closing, this acquisition brings Adams Outdoor’s Charlotte market to 74 digital billboards across the metro area, with additional digital growth planned later this year.

“Charlotte is a must-have market for advertisers, and market ownership here continues to be a key strategic priority for Adams Outdoor,” said Kevin Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Adams Outdoor Advertising. “This acquisition further solidifies our position as the dominant out-of-home provider in Charlotte and strengthens our ability to deliver unmatched reach along the market’s most important travel corridors.”
