Rare Butter Production Facility Offered to Strategic Operator; Clackamas Equipment to Be Auctioned if Necessary
PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alpenrose will consolidate operations and cease production at its butter, sour cream, and ice cream mix manufacturing facility in Clackamas, OR, effective March 31, 2026. Fresh milk production will continue at the company's Pacific Northwest facility in Kent, Wash., ensuring the beloved Alpenrose brand of milk and cottage cheese remains available at local grocery stores across the region.
"This opportunity to acquire the Clackamas facility, with its capability to produce butter, ice cream mix, and cultured products, is one we rarely see," remarked Lenny Davis, CEO of Harry Davis & Company.

To facilitate the transition, Alpenrose has retained Harry Davis & Company (HDC), the dairy industry's leader in sales of operational facilities and surplus assets, to market the Clackamas operations. HDC has announced that equipment assets will be offered at auction on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 if a strategic operator cannot be identified in advance.
"The opportunity to acquire the Clackamas facility, with its capability to produce butter and cultured products, is one we rarely see become available," remarked Lenny Davis, CEO of Harry Davis & Company. "This facility has tremendous heritage and brand recognition, so we expect it to generate significant interest in the butter marketplace along with various other dairy segments."
