Eligible not-for-profit organizations may submit their Letters of Interest (LOI) to Port Houston starting February 1. Organizations that meet the 2026 CGP’s guidelines & priorities will be invited to complete the full grant application following the close of the LOI period, which ends February 28.
Since its inception in 2020, Port Houston Community Grants Program has awarded $2.15 million towards initiatives that advance economic and workforce development, revitalize greenspaces, reduce pollution, and promote health equity in our area.
To support applicants, Port Houston will host two public workshops to highlight this year’s program and provide interested organizations with the opportunity to ask clarifying questions about the 2026 CGP process. The public workshops are scheduled for February 10, and February 19.
Additionally, Port Houston and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a special "Grants 101: Funding Your Future" on February 5. Also free, this event is designed to help non-profit partners discover grant opportunities, craft strategic proposals, and become more competitive for all grant submissions, not just those related to Port Houston. This engaging session features experts who will share tips on writing compelling proposals and managing grant cycles. The workshop will be offered in-person and online. However, registration is required to attend.
