Corgan Promotes Emily Strain to Lead Workplace Interiors Sector

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Corgan, a leading architecture and design firm, has promoted Emily Strain to Workplace Interiors Sector Leader. In this pivotal role, Strain will oversee the strategic direction and growth of the sector, building upon her established record of innovation and leadership within the firm. Strain succeeds Lindsay Wilson, who will transition from her dual role as Workplace Interiors Sector Leader and firm President to focus exclusively on her responsibilities as President, an executive leadership role she has held since 2018.

With 20 years of industry experience, Strain brings expertise in interior design, human behavior, organizational strategy, and change management to her new position. As the founder of Corgan’s Workplace Consulting team, she established a practice dedicated to uncovering clients’ visions and translating them into high-performing environments. Under her guidance, the team developed a flexible toolkit and data-driven methodology that has informed workplace solutions for clients across the firm.

“Beyond Emily’s strong expertise in strategy and design, she has a distinct understanding of how workplaces are evolving and seeking to elevate the employee experience. She knows firsthand what our clients need,” said Lindsay Wilson, President of Corgan. “Her vision and dynamic leadership have contributed to the success of our practice, and I am excited to see what she accomplishes in this new chapter.”

Strain’s approach pushes traditional thinking on how space serves people and performance. During her 18 years with the firm, she has led both design and workplace strategy for a diverse range of organizations, from Fortune 100 companies to emerging tech startups. Her portfolio includes significant work guiding clients such as AT&T, Citi, Microsoft, TIAA, and State Street in aligning their physical environments with broader business goals.

Strain’s contributions to the field have earned recognition from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and have been featured in prominent industry publications including Interior Design, Work Design Magazine, and I&S. This promotion acknowledges her instrumental role in elevating Corgan’s capabilities and her readiness to lead the sector into its next phase of growth.

“I am grateful for Lindsay’s leadership and ongoing mentorship, and I’m honored to build on the exceptional momentum she has created for the Workplace practice as we continue to grow and evolve,” said Strain. “Where you work matters, and this is a pivotal moment for organizations as they determine what they want their workplace to be and how it should perform. I am looking forward to continuing to work with clients who are energized and ready to invest in workplaces that are meaningful, beautiful, and built for how people truly work.”

Ranked the No. 4 commercial design firm by Engineering News Record and No. 8 for corporate office design in Interior Design Magazine’s Giants of design, Corgan’s office sector creates spaces from multi building campuses to high-rises and mixed-use that go beyond aesthetics to perform and adapt with the people that use them.
