Montrose Environmental Group Appoints James Laws as Chief Operating Officer

Seasoned Industry Executive to Drive Operational Excellence and Growth

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. Today, Montrose announces the appointment of James Laws as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer—continuing the company’s ongoing strategy to advance operational excellence and integration. In this role, Mr. Laws will oversee all business line operations across the company and deepen organizational efficiency, reporting directly to Vijay Manthripragada, Montrose Chief Executive Officer and Director.

Mr. Laws is a seasoned executive with 25 years of experience leading high-performing teams in the environmental industry. He is recognized for hands-on leadership and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary businesses.

Prior to joining Montrose, James spent nearly a decade at AECOM (NYSE: AECOM), most recently as Senior Vice President, with responsibility across environmental remediation, air quality, environmental health and safety, permitting and planning, and large-scale federal programs. As head of environmental operations for the west region, he partnered across functions to drive disciplined execution and scalable performance.

Earlier in his career, James spent 16 years at CH2M HILL (now Jacobs Solutions Inc., NYSE: J), leading large, technically complex federal and commercial environmental programs, including major Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Defense contracts.

James holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
