Dallas, Houston and Austin lawyers elevated to partner

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dallas attorneys Anna Brooks Martin and Lucas Peterson, Houston attorney Savannah Benac and Austin attorney Watson Bowen have been promoted to partner at the full-service business litigation and transactional firm Shackelford, McKinley & Norton, LLP.

Ms. Martin’s practice focuses on business transactional work, with an emphasis on representing motor vehicle dealerships in such matters as buy-sells, management agreements, real estate acquisitions and sales and financing. She also assists clients in a variety of commercial real estate matters, including leasing, sales, acquisitions, title and survey matters and development.

Mr. Peterson is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation group, representing aerospace, commercial real estate, energy, financial services, telecommunications and transportation clients in matters involving corporate governance and control, complex transactions, employment, trade secret misappropriation, copyright and trademark infringement and construction. He also represents individual investors in disputes involving trusts and estates.

Ms. Benac focuses on commercial litigation and construction litigation, with an emphasis on insurance disputes and coverage analysis involving property, builder’s risk, inland marine, data breach, cyber liability, commercial general liability, professional liability, oilfield and financial services. She also assists clients facing claims and bad-faith lawsuits arising from widespread catastrophes involving office buildings, retail complexes, residential and habitational commercial properties and refineries.

Mr. Bowen is a member of the firm’s aviation practice group. Drawing on his experience as a licensed Airline Transport Pilot and flight instructor, he counsels individual aircraft owners and operators and large, multinational corporations in the purchase and sale of private jets. He also assists in tax and general risk management issues and Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Transportation regulatory compliance matters.
