Case involving deadly crash in Dallas selected by TopVerdict.com

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Zehl & Associates, the nationally acclaimed personal injury and wrongful death law firm, has been recognized for securing a record-setting $37.5 million wrongful death verdict against Oncor Electric Delivery Company following a deadly crash in Dallas. TopVerdict.com named the case one of the Top 50 Wrongful Death Verdicts in the United States for 2024.

The crash occurred when an Oncor service truck slammed into the back of a disabled 18-wheeler parked partially on the shoulder of Interstate 635. The truck driver had exited his vehicle to inspect it when he was struck and killed. At trial, Zehl & Associates presented compelling evidence that showed Oncor driver was distracted and never applied the brakes before impact.

Zehl & Associates represented the family of the deceased driver, his widow, and his three children.
