Hannover Life Reassurance Company of America Announces Leadership Transition Changes

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hannover Life Reassurance Company of America (Hannover Re US) announces an update to key leadership appointment, effective January 1, 2026. Tiffany Norman will become President and CEO of Hannover Re US, succeeding Pete Schaefer, who will retire on December 31, 2025.

The appointment is an update of the announcement on September 3, 2025, of Clint Thompson being appointed to the role. He has elected to transition, for personal reasons, to a global role as Principal Lead, Life & Health Portfolio Steering and Business Performance reporting to Hannover Re’s Life & Health Reinsurance Executive Board Member, Brona Magee.

Tiffany brings nearly 20 years of industry experience, with expertise spanning product development, pricing, financial reporting, valuation, economic capital, and actuarial modelling. She joined Hannover Re US in 2006 and has since successfully led actuarial staffing and development for Hannover Re in the US. Tiffany most recently held the position of Executive Vice President and Head of Annuity Solutions and has achieved notable success in driving growth in this part of Hannover Re US.

Tiffany and Clint stepping into new leadership roles underscores Hannover Re’s quick, flexible and undogmatic approach to serve its clients.

Both appointments follow the remarkable leadership of Pete Schaefer, who joined in 1999 as Chief Actuary and became President and CEO in 2001. Pete guided Hannover Re US through transformative growth over his 27 years, developing a leadership team well equipped to lead the organization to continued success with a commitment to excellence and innovation that is stronger than ever.
