IVI RMA North America Announces Patient Advisory Councils in US and Canada

Feedback from patients, partners, and employees will help shape safe, high-quality, personalized care

BASKING RIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IVI RMA North America, one of the nation’s leading reproductive service providers and a pioneer in IVF research, today announced the formation of two Patient Advisory Councils (PACs) – one in the United States and one in Canada – to elevate the patient voice in the company's decision-making process. Each PAC is structured as a safe, transparent space where patients, their partners, and staff can build genuine partnerships grounded in understanding, open communication, and collaboration. The U.S. PAC will launch on December 16, 2025, and the Canadian PAC will launch on January 14, 2026, with their first virtual meetings. Both PACs will then meet monthly moving forward.

“Our Patient Advisory Councils will be a true differentiator for IVI RMA and allow us to continue delivering patient-centered care by knowing what matters to our patients because they told us,” said Iris González, Chief Operating Officer at IVI RMA North America. “Real patient experiences will help shape our path to harness the expertise across North America and deliver on what patients value most.”

Each PAC will include one or two patient representatives per market for equal representation (approximately 15-20 patients in the U.S. and 7-12 in Canada), along with practice operators/regional leaders, providers/medical directors, C-suite representatives, and the IVI RMA North America Patient Experience (PX) team. Leaders across the firm will use PAC feedback to guide strategic decisions, enhance patient-centered care initiatives, identify priorities for improvement, gather real-time insights, collaborate on projects, and pilot new programs.

“We already pair medical and business leadership across our organization to guide decision-making and integrating PACs will help us positively reimagine the patient experience at every touchpoint,” added Lynn Mason, CEO of IVI RMA North America. “IVI RMA is already the trusted leader in fertility care and research, and with our PACs we aim to set a new standard in the industry for what it truly means to put patients first.”

Clinical staff, providers, and nurse leaders recommended strong patient candidates, based on their knowledge, experiences, and perspective they could bring to the group. These patients were invited to complete an application, which was reviewed by the Office of PX, followed by interviews to assess their suitability for the PACs. IVI RMA North America will provide patient advisors with the training, resources, and organizational support to be successful, and keep them informed about how their feedback and ideas contribute to changes and improvements.
