Michael Blau – Strategic Advisor
Michael Blau is a retired partner with Foley & Lardner LLP. His practice focused on advising clients on corporate and regulatory healthcare matters, including mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, financing transactions, contracting, and the formation of provider groups, networks, alliances, and joint ventures.
He served as the chair of Foley Lardner’s Industry Teams Department and previously chaired the firm’s Research and Development Group and its Health Care Industry Team Planning Committee. Prior to joining Foley, Michael served as partner-in-charge of the Health Law Department in the Boston office of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.
Chuck Farkas – Strategic Advisor
Chuck Farkas is a long-time senior leader in Bain & Company’s Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, and Strategy practices. Since joining Bain in 1979 and becoming a partner in 1985, Chuck has advised CEOs and senior executives globally on growth strategy, leadership, organizational effectiveness and change management.
He has served as Global Leader of Bain’s Financial Services practice, North American Head of Healthcare, and Managing Partner of Bain Canada. Chuck is the author of Maximum Leadership and has published in the Harvard Business Review, Fortune, In Vivo and other leading outlets.
Chuck currently serves on the boards of CONMED Corporation, Intuitive Health, Medicinal Genomics, Medzown, and Shields Health. He holds a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School and was an ITT International Fellow through the Fulbright program.
Ann Gallo – Strategic Advisor
Ann Gallo has been an active healthcare investor and advisor for nearly 30 years. She is the Founder and CEO of ACG Advisory, where she partners with high-growth healthcare service and technology companies. Previously, Ann spent over 25 years at Wellington Management Company, LLP, where she served as senior managing director, partner and investment team leader of the firm’s $60 billion healthcare franchise.
At Wellington, she managed diversified healthcare portfolios, researched healthcare services and medical technology companies and helped launch the firm’s late-stage private equity franchise. Ann served on numerous governance, operating, and oversight committees and today serves on the Boards of Piper Sandler, Sword Health and Boston Ballet.
Her earlier roles include senior analyst positions with Alex. Brown & Sons and Piper Sandler, as well as finance roles at Citibank N.A. and Coopers & Lybrand. She holds a master’s degree in finance and applied economics from MIT and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College.
Mike Matteo – Strategic Advisor
Mike Matteo is a Principal at MCM Consulting, LLC and a senior advisor to InTandem Capital Partners. He previously served as a Venture Partner at Oak HC/FT, where he supported early-stage healthcare companies on strategy and go-to-market execution.
Mike was formerly President of Grand Rounds (now Included Health), leading all growth and client-facing teams. Prior to that, he spent nearly two decades at UnitedHealth Group in roles including Chief Client Officer at OptumRx, CEO of UHC National Accounts and Public Sector and Chief Growth Officer at Optum.
He began his career at The Travelers Insurance Company, holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross, and completed Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business Executive Development Program.
