Transparency-One® Hosts Consumer Packaged Goods Roundtables to Tackle Transparency and Sustainability Challenges
Industry leading companies join forces to discuss responsible sourcing best practices
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transparency-One, ISN®’s responsible sourcing platform built to help bring transparency to supply chain management, hosted its third industry roundtable focused on responsible sourcing and supplier engagement within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. The event, held on October 14 in Chicago, brought together sustainability and procurement leaders from across the CPG sector to discuss shared challenges and strategic solutions.
Transparency-One's roundtable series serves as a forum for peer collaboration among responsible sourcing leaders looking to navigate emerging regulations, enhance supply chain traceability, and optimize supplier data. To date, over 17 leading CPG brands have participated in the roundtable discussions. Attendees voiced concerns about disparate technologies and inconsistent approaches to supplier engagement. Sustainability KPIs remain a top barrier to mapping high-risk supply chains to the raw material level.
“Supply chain transparency is critical to the entire value chain, from CPG companies to farmers,” said Emily Johannes of Farm Journal. “Aligning as an industry is the key to driving efficiency and making meaningful change.”
Attendees emphasized the need to reduce duplicative efforts across brands, improve decision-making through better supplier data, and align on a shared framework for risk evaluation. The group also discussed pressing regulatory shifts, including evolving enforcement under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, the Food Safety Modernization Act, and the proposed U.S. Cosmetics Supply Chain Act.
“Transparency-One is committed to building safer, more transparent supply chains with advanced network capabilities, regulatory insights, and traceability solutions," said Brittany Sizemore, Senior Vice President at Transparency-One. "By facilitating these discussions, we’re helping CPG brands collaborate on practical, tech-enabled strategies to meet evolving compliance demands and sustainability goals."
