Arcade.dev Joins Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation as Gold Member

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arcade.dev, the leading runtime for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), today announced its official membership in the Linux Foundation's newly formed Agentic Artificial Intelligence Foundation (AAIF) as a Gold Member. This commitment furthers Arcade.dev’s mission to advance the MCP ecosystem and ensure enterprises can deploy production-ready AI agents with the security, governance, and reliability required at scale.

The AAIF launches with founding contributions from Anthropic (Model Context Protocol), Block (goose), and OpenAI (AGENTS.md), establishing a neutral home for the technologies driving the next era of agentic AI. The foundation will drive interoperability standards, facilitate collaboration across the ecosystem, and ensure these critical technologies evolve transparently and openly. As a Gold Member, Arcade will contribute directly to working groups focused on enterprise deployment patterns, security and authorization frameworks, and production runtime requirements, areas where Arcade has accumulated deep expertise solving real-world challenges at scale.

Since Anthropic released MCP one year ago, the protocol has transformed how AI systems interact with tools and data, with over 10,000 published MCP servers now deployed across everything from developer environments to Fortune 500 enterprises. After its own stealth launch in February of 2025, Arcade.dev has emerged as the only MCP runtime purpose-built to bridge the gap between MCP's promise and production reality.

"Joining the AAIF as a Gold Member is a natural extension of our mission to make agentic AI ready for enterprise production," said Alex Salazar, CEO and Cofounder of Arcade.dev. “By supporting the foundation, we're investing in the open ecosystem and working together with some of the most respected organizations building in AI today, ensuring enterprises have the runtime infrastructure they need to deploy AI agents at scale and that actually drives value.”

Arcade.dev addresses the three critical barriers that prevent AI agents from reaching production:

  • Security and Authorization: Arcade.dev's authorization-first architecture integrates seamlessly with existing OAuth, identity providers, and user access controls, enabling granular, user-specific permissions without the complexity of building custom security infrastructure. This solves what has historically been the hardest challenge in scaling AI agents beyond demos.
  • High-Accuracy Tool Execution: With the largest catalog of agent-optimized MCP tools and a framework for building custom integrations, Arcade.dev delivers the reliability enterprises demand. The runtime handles tool orchestration, parallelization, failover, and intelligent retries – ensuring AI agents can take accurate actions across any enterprise system.
  • Centralized Governance: As a single control plane for all MCP tools, Arcade.dev provides the visibility, version control, and audit capabilities teams need to scale AI development safely. Organizations gain complete transparency into what every agent accesses on behalf of each user across each service, accelerating trusted production deployments.

The AAIF represents a critical shift toward open, collaborative development of agentic AI infrastructure. By uniting protocol creators, framework builders, and infrastructure providers under neutral governance, the foundation ensures this transformative technology evolves through shared standards rather than proprietary fragmentation. With Arcade contributing its expertise in building production-grade infrastructure, organizations can invest confidently in agentic AI, knowing the underlying technologies are open, collaborative, and designed to work together seamlessly.
