ERLANGER, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toyota Boshoku America, Inc. (TBA), a global leader in automotive components and interior systems, proudly announces the grand opening of its newest manufacturing facility in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Toyota Boshoku Western Kentucky (TBWK). This marks the company’s first-ever “smart plant,” signaling a major step forward in innovation, sustainability, and regional economic growth.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, alongside Toyota Boshoku America executives and state and local officials, joined community members to celebrate the milestone achievement. The new 354,340-square-foot facility, located on 48 acres in Hopkinsville’s South Park Development, began operations last month, producing advanced seat frame mechanism parts, including seat tracks, seat recliners, and motors with gears.
Governor Beshear praised the company’s continued investment in Kentucky’s thriving automotive sector, stating:
“The future has never been brighter for our commonwealth, and investments like this from Toyota Boshoku are fueling our success while also creating great jobs for the people of Western Kentucky,” said Gov. Beshear. “This new facility marks an exciting step forward for the company and Kentucky as we continue to lead the way in both automotive and advanced manufacturing.
