Genasys Inc. Announces $1M Nuclear Security Order

Genasys ACOUSTICS to Provide Emergency Warning and Internal Facility Communications at Four Nuclear Energy Sites

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Genasys Inc. (NASDAQ: GNSS), the global leader in Protective Communications, today announced a follow-on $1.0 million order from a nuclear energy operator in the southeastern United States. Genasys Acoustics (Acoustics) emergency warning and perimeter security systems were previously installed at two sites operated by the same company.

“In 2024, the operator selected Genasys to replace and upgrade its legacy communications system of pagers, intercoms, and telephones with Acoustics to deliver clear voice emergency warnings, communicate routine facility information, and deter unauthorized entry of site perimeters,” said Genasys CEO Richard Danforth. “This follow-on order will install our Acoustics systems at two additional sites. With network connectivity for remote operation and highly intelligible voice broadcasts that can be heard and understood up to a mile away, Acoustics provide a critical first response capability missing from observe-only perimeter security systems.”

“Critical infrastructure facilities face a range of challenges from emergencies to routine operations,” said Chris Keane, Genasys’ Business Development Director. “Whether dealing with severe weather, infrastructure issues, security breaches, or everyday events, Genasys provides comprehensive solutions that enhance decision-making, streamline communication, and ensure effective collaboration. Genasys Protect systems are designed to safeguard critical infrastructure by delivering routine and time-critical notifications, accelerating emergency responses, and securing facility perimeters.”

Genasys Protective Communications solutions provide targeted communications, data-driven decision making, secure collaboration, and more. No other platform delivers real-time, multi-channel communications with the precision, speed, and clarity of Genasys’ integrated hardware and software systems.
