Coalition Groups and Ontario New Democrats to Hold Press Conference About Threats of Bill 60 and Water Privatization Outside of Peel Water Treatment Plant

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A coalition of groups opposed to the privatization of water in Ontario will hold a press conference outside of the Lorne Park Water Treatment Plant in Peel on Thursday morning.

The Ford Conservative’s omni-bus Bill 60 paves the way to privatize and deregulate water across the province – starting in Peel. Marit Stiles, Leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party, will be joined by John Cartwright of the Council of Canadians, Fred Hahn, President of CUPE Ontario, and Dave Young, a frontline water worker.

The press conference will by live streamed over Zoom.
