Despite the ongoing government shutdown, defense community partners across the U.S. came together to address the industry's most pressing topics. Denise Hauck, president of DOD business, and Tim McGuire, major general (Ret.) EVP, military partnerships, represented Corvias during the session.

“We view housing as a platform for broader installation success,” Hauck told attendees. “It’s an opportunity to improve essential areas like energy resilience, sustainability and the overall quality of life that keeps our military strong.”

In an earlier general session, former U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, echoed a similar theme, underscoring that readiness begins at home. His remarks reinforced the importance of providing families with appropriate military housing so service members can perform at their peak and uphold national security.

Building on that message, the Corvias-led discussion highlighted innovations in military housing to support force readiness. Corvias is implementing indoor wellness solutions to over 4,500 homes to elevate indoor environments to certifiable standards and installing high-efficiency energy upgrades in over 8,600 homes to modernize systems and boost resident comfort.

As defense and community leaders look ahead, Corvias remains focused on turning innovation into measurable impact. By viewing military housing as a platform for readiness and family well-being, the company continues to strengthen the communities that serve the nation.

“When our service members and their families thrive at home, we enable lethal combat-ready formations that are prepared to fight and win our nation's wars,” added McGuire. “It is essential that we continue to adapt to meet the needs of today’s service members and the broader installation environment.”
