Award-Winning Nonprofit, Making Lives Better with Alorica, Achieves Employee-Led $10 Million Goal to Mark 10 Years of Impact

Through its unique corporate-nonprofit partnership, MLBA doubles its footprint to serve all countries where Alorica operates

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--To commemorate the 10th anniversary of its one-of-a-kind corporate philanthropy model, Alorica Inc., a global leader in digitally powered customer experience solutions, announced today that MLBA has exceeded its $10 million fundraising goal, driven by employees worldwide. MLBA, an award-winning and certified 501(c)(3) organization, supports Alorica employees, their loved ones, communities and other local charities in need across the 17 countries in which Alorica maintains operations.

Founded in 2015, MLBA is run by Alorica volunteers who raise funds, review grant requests and determine when and how to provide aid. Every dollar contributed stays within local chapters, ensuring transparency, accountability and immediate impact. Over the past decade, MLBA has awarded nearly 15,000 grants to individuals in crisis, raised $10 million through grassroots initiatives and distributed more than $439,300 in disaster relief to communities affected by hurricanes, earthquakes and other global emergencies. In 2024 alone, the organization partnered with more than 80 nonprofits.

“It started with the simple belief that the greatest impact happens when you empower those closest to the need to lead the way,” explained Joyce Lee, Alorica’s Chief Culture Officer and MLBA Executive Chairperson. “We listened to our employees, and they knew exactly what to do to make the greatest difference locally and globally. MLBA’s tagline, ‘Share the love,’ guides us to support each other, our families and communities through their toughest times—and no one in the industry does it quite like we do.”

The nonprofit’s influence is both widespread and deeply personal, awarding life-changing grants such as helping to cover a child’s heart surgery in Guatemala, preventing a single mother and her children from losing their home in Missouri, delivering hurricane relief in Florida and donating much-needed school supplies to underserved children in the Philippines. The organization also invests in the future of philanthropy through MLBA NextGen, which teaches youth around the world about community service and leadership. In six years, NextGen volunteers have raised $75,500 and partnered with 22 charities.

“MLBA has redefined what corporate social responsibility can look like,” said Bing Prima-Patino, Alorica’s CSR Director and MLBA President. “Instead of a company giving program, we’ve created a completely different framework that connects our 100,000 employees worldwide through a shared purpose. That same spirit of care is why Alorica earned Great Place to Work® certifications across 11 countries and received CMP Research’s Best of the Best for Employee Experience. It’s proof that when your workplace culture is rooted in compassion, it can also positively impact recruiting, retention and performance.”

In recognition of its transparency and measurable results, MLBA has earned multiple distinctions, including the 2024 Top-Rated Nonprofit Award from GreatNonprofits, the 2024 Platinum Transparency Seal from Candid and the 2025 International CSR Excellence Award (Silver) for Corporate Citizenship.

To further MLBA’s mission to help those most in need, Alorica invites the public to “Share the love” by donating at livesbetter.org.
