Fujifilm Launches Next-Generation ELUXEO® Endoscopic Imaging System with Enhanced LED Multi-Light Technology

System is fully compatible with Fujifilm’s 500-, 600-, 700- and new, next-generation 800-Series endoscopes

LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation, a leading provider of endoscopic imaging and endosurgical solutions, and the pioneer of endoscopic LED multi-light technology in the US, announces the launch of its advanced endoscopy platform, the ELUXEO® 8000 Endoscopic Imaging System — a smartly designed single-unit processor and light source (EP-8000) featuring several features that enhance endoscopic image quality, therapeutic capabilities, and workflow efficiencies. The next-generation platform will be demonstrated at the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting held October 26 – 28 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Fujifilm’s ELUXEO 8000 System delivers unparalleled visualization through 4K resolution, triple noise reduction technology (3NR) and extended dynamic range, resulting in reduced halation, improved sharpness and enhanced brightness optimization simultaneously in both near and far fields. LED multi-light technology is a hallmark of Fujifilm’s original ELUXEO endoscopic imaging system. The introduction of the ELUXEO 8000 System also features a newly developed Amber-Red Color Imaging (ACI) light mode. Adding to Fujifilm’s Linked Color Imaging (LCI®) and Blue Light Imaging (BLI) light modes enabling enhanced polyp detection and characterization capabilities, ACI was designed to support detection of bleeding sources and enhance noninvasive third-space endoscopy treatment with its potential to improve visualization of blood vessels in the submucosal space. With the ELUXEO 8000 System, clinicians can easily switch between all three modes.

“We are steadfast in our commitment to advance the field of endoscopy with innovations that empower GI physicians to safely and efficiently accomplish even the most challenging procedures with the best possible outcomes,” says Tai Fujita, vice president, Endoscopy Division, FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation. “The ELUXEO 8000 System is our latest testament in how Fujifilm is taking endoscopic imaging to new heights. In addition to exceptional imaging for optimal detection and diagnosis, we’ve developed a new light mode designed specifically to support clinicians during challenging procedures.”

Compatibility with a wide variety of Fujifilm’s diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopes, as well as bronchoscopes, is another competitive factor that sets the ELUXEO 8000 System apart from other endoscopy systems on the market. The ELUXEO 8000 System is fully compatible with Fujifilm’s 500-, 600-, 700- and 800-series endoscopes—covering the comprehensive range of core, double balloon, and interventional scopes. This is a departure from the industry’s traditional bundling of a new processor with new scopes, making the ELUXEO 8000 System a practical and cost-effective solution.

Fujifilm’s newest, next generation 800-Series endoscopes are equipped with intelligent CMOS Image Sensor technology. This includes seven 800-series FDA-cleared gastroscopes and colonoscopes—including three of the company’s most recently released models—the EG-840T treatment gastroscope and EG-840TP slim treatment gastroscope designed for upper GI procedures, and the EN-840T Double Balloon Enteroscopy (DBE) Scope, which enables access to the entire small intestine for diagnosis and therapeutic intervention. These scopes are also compatible with Fujifilm’s previous generation ELUXEO® 7000 Endoscopic Imaging System.

“Fujifilm has already established a high standard for endoscopic image processing with the ELUXEO system, and the new EP-8000 Processor delivers meaningful advancement in overall image clarity, along with exciting new features like ACI (Amber-red Color Imaging),” said Hiroyuki Aihara, M.D., Ph.D., director, endoscopic tissue resection, Brigham and Women's Hospital. “By emphasizing color contrast and structural detail, this new observation mode improves visual recognition of tissue layers and blood vessels when working in the submucosal space. Visualization of these structures is critical for safe and successful completion of ESD and other Third Space procedures, making ACI a very relevant advancement in the field of advanced therapeutic endoscopy.”

Fujifilm’s ELUXEO 8000 System and all seven FDA 510k-cleared 800 Series endoscopes will be available for demonstration at ACG at the Fujifilm Booth #1234. To book your demonstration with Fujifilm at ACG 2025, click here.
