Innovaccer Customers Lead in Clinical Documentation, Quality, and Care Outcomes, Driving 47% PMPM Savings Growth in 2024 MSSP Results

Innovaccer’s data-driven ACOs participating in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) excel in documentation, quality, and cost management, resulting in industry-leading financial performance.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Innovaccer Inc., a leading healthcare AI company, today announced exceptional results achieved by its Accountable Care Organization (ACO) customers participating in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) for the 2024 performance year. The results underscore the power of the Innovaccer platform in enabling ACOs to thrive in value-based care by driving both financial savings and clinical excellence. MSSP ACOs leveraging Innovaccer solutions achieved a 47% year-over-year increase in per-member-per-month savings.

As per the results, Innovaccer’s MSSP ACO customers outpaced the national average, with 76.2% generating shared savings and 64.8% achieving year-over-year growth in savings, demonstrating both scalability and consistent programmatic optimization across the customer base.

Driving these results were measurable improvements in care delivery. Innovaccer's ACO customers improved clinical documentation accuracy and completeness, ensuring conditions and care needs were fully captured. They outperformed all other ACOs nationally by 7.7% on the critical HbA1c measure, reflecting best-in-class diabetes care. Customers also achieved significantly lower readmission rates and surpassed peers in overall quality scores, demonstrating comprehensive patient-centered excellence and validating the platform’s effectiveness in enabling coordinated transitions of care and reducing avoidable hospital utilization.

“These MSSP results prove that financial performance is the byproduct of doing the right things first: documenting care accurately, meeting quality benchmarks, and managing costs responsibly,” said Abhinav Shashank, Co-founder and CEO of Innovaccer. “Our customers are demonstrating that the foundation of value-based care is strong clinical documentation and superior outcomes, which then unlock the savings and growth needed to thrive.”

Innovaccer is committed to providing healthcare organizations with the tools and insights they need to document care accurately, improve quality, and manage costs effectively, enabling providers to achieve financial success by first delivering better patient outcomes.
