Tallvine-Backed Velocity FBO Network Expands with Acquisition of Havasu Air Center’s Fixed-Base Operator Assets

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Velocity FBO Network (“Velocity”), a premier North American network of fixed-base operators backed by Tallvine Partners, today announced the acquisition of Havasu Air Center’s fixed-base operator (“FBO”) assets, a leading FBO servicing Lake Havasu City Airport (KHII). With its second acquisition of 2025, Velocity continues to strengthen its presence with four premier locations across North America. As part of the transaction, the sellers will retain their aircraft management operations as well as their aircraft maintenance business, Northstar Aviation Services. Havasu Air Center co-founder Dante Marinelli will continue to support the business as an advisor to Velocity.

“Building Havasu Air Center has been one of the great privileges of my career, and I’m excited to see it enter its next chapter as part of the Velocity FBO Network,” said Marinelli. “I look forward to remaining involved as an advisor, helping the team uphold the customer-first culture our community and customers have come to expect.

Havasu Air Center, a premier full-service FBO in Lake Havasu, Arizona, has long served as a vital hub for the region’s aviation community—providing trusted support to general aviation pilots, aircraft owners, and operators while also delivering critical services to military aircrafts—fostering growth, connectivity, and operational excellence.

Chad Farishon, Chief Executive Officer of Velocity FBO Network, added: “Velocity was founded on a commitment to excellence, delivering a consistent standard of quality and exceptional experiences across our entire network. Havasu Air Center has built a reputation for outstanding service and operational safety, and we are committed to honoring that legacy while bringing our broader platform’s resources to bear.”

Ed Zwirn, Operating Director at Tallvine, commented: “The acquisition of Havasu Air Center represents the fourth location in our growing network. We are executing on a focused strategy to build a best-in-class platform, and Lake Havasu is a natural fit.”

“Tallvine incepted Velocity with the conviction that the FBO sector is poised for long-term growth”, commented Mark Clark, Partner at Tallvine Partners. “We are proud to back the company’s expansion at Lake Havasu and look forward to adding multiple additional locations to the network over the next twelve months and beyond.”
