General Enterprise Ventures Appoints Accomplished Entrepreneur and Wildfire Industry Leader, Wes Bolsen, as Chief Executive Officer

Ted Ralston Transitions to Chairman of the Board

OCEANSIDE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--General Enterprise Ventures, Inc. (OTC: GEVI) today announced the appointment of Wes Bolsen as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bolsen succeeds Ted Ralston, who will assume the role of Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Bolsen brings over two decades of experience building and leading high-growth companies across emerging technologies and wildfire protection. He co-founded and led LaderaTech as a board member and CEO, scaling it into the world’s leading wildfire prevention and protection technology company before successfully selling the business to Perimeter Solutions. He subsequently joined Perimeter’s leadership team during its growth and $2 billion public listing. Mr. Bolsen holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Economics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

Ted Ralston, Chairman of the Board of General Enterprise Ventures, Inc., commented, “Wes brings a rare combination of entrepreneurial vision, proven leadership and deep knowledge of the wildfire industry. Having helped launch and build five companies over the last 20 years, Wes has successfully taken breakthrough innovations to market. That experience, combined with his understanding of both the science and the business strategy, makes him the right person to position CitroTech by MFB as the new standard in wildfire prevention and community protection. Together, we will focus on expanding into new markets and forming strategic partnerships to accelerate adoption of our solutions.”

Wes Bolsen, incoming CEO of General Enterprise Ventures, “I chose to return to this industry and lead this company after carefully evaluating CitroTech. This EPA-listed product line has the potential to transform how we prevent fires, protect homes and assets, manufacture and treat wood products and lumber, and ensure safe ingress and egress for firefighters and communities. Importantly, it provides significant advantages over legacy fire retardants, wildfire defense systems and other products on the market. I am excited to lead this team as we build partnerships and scale the business.”

Steve Conboy, founder and chief technology officer of MFB, “We are extremely fortunate to have Wes leading the company now. His decades of executive leadership and deep industry knowledge will be a tremendous asset as we accelerate the adoption of CitroTech and move forward with our plans to uplist to a national stock exchange.”

Mr. Ralston will remain actively involved during the transition period to support the company in forming several major strategic partnerships in the wood products and insurance sectors.
