FacilitiesNet Honors Infinitum in 2025 Vision Awards

Aircore EC motor system recognized for optimizing energy consumption in data center cooling

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Infinitum, creator of the sustainable air-core motor, today announced that its Aircore EC motor system has been honored in the 7th annual FacilitiesNet Vision Awards for its ability to optimize energy consumption for data center cooling. These awards honor innovation and excellence in products contributing to the efficient, profitable operations and management of institutional and commercial buildings in the United States.

Data center operators face tremendous pressure as unprecedented electricity demand driven by AI is adding urgency to reduce energy consumption. With 30% of a data center’s power budget allocated to cooling, it’s crucial for data center operators to explore technologies that optimize power and cost savings.

Infinitum’s Aircore EC motor system enables data centers to reduce the energy consumed by cooling by up to 20%. Additionally, Infinitum motors can be rightsized to meet an HVAC application’s exact horsepower needs, while using fewer amps, enabling data center facilities to reallocate power budget from cooling applications to revenue-generating IT servers and new AI workloads. Rightsizing also reduces electrical infrastructure needs, such as wiring, circuit breakers and transformers, resulting in significant capital savings for new facilities.

“As the electricity demand for AI data centers skyrockets, our high-efficiency motor system empowers operators to improve efficiency, optimize their power budgets, reduce electrical spend and take on more revenue-generating AI workloads,” said Vikas Desai, chief commercial officer, Infinitum. ”We’re honored to be recognized in the FacilitiesNet Vision Awards.”

“We were excited to see such a large number of entries this year,” says Dan Weltin, Editor-in-Chief for Facility Market. “It demonstrates how much innovation is happening right now in the facility management industry.”

Products are scored by a panel of judges made up of our Facility Influencers, members of the Building Operating Management and Facility Maintenance Decisions Editorial Advisory Boards, and other prestigious facility managers.
