Media Advisory: CUPE to Respond to Deborah Onwu Fatality Inquiry

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) will respond to the expected release tomorrow of the Fatality Inquiry regarding the death of Deborah Onwu. Onwu was a Calgary resident and a Family and Youth Councillor employed by Woods Homes who was stabbed nineteen times by a client on October 3, 2019.

Onwu was a member of CUPE, and the union requested the inquiry following her death.
