Every swing counted. “Golfers enjoyed a terrific course while supporting the mission to empower military families to achieve their educational and career dreams,” said Corvias Foundation Executive Director Julie Allen. With record breaking fundraising, Allen announced the Foundation will expand its support to six additional military installations.

One event highlight was speaker Lea Johnson, Executive Director of the Veteran’s Spouse Project. She noted, “Military spouses and children can feel isolated due to frequent moves and the uncertainties of life during a family member’s deployment. This event shows families like mine something profound: we are not alone. Thank you for standing with us.”

Funds from this year’s event is making the following programs possible:

  • Corvias Closets, which delivers school supplies, nutritious snacks, materials for art and science projects, and other learning essentials to support students in need at schools on military bases. Corvias Closet will start at Fort Bragg, NC this fall.
