ReliaQuest’s Native Data Pipeline, GreyMatter Transit, Allows Security Teams to Detect Threats in Real Time

GreyMatter Transit, a first-of-its-kind data pipeline capability, allows security teams to immediately detect threats in transit, while giving them optionality in how their data moves in their architecture

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ReliaQuest, the leader in agentic AI security operations, today announced the launch of GreyMatter Transit, the industry’s first data pipeline capability that detects threats in motion rather than at the SIEM/storage – drastically speeding threat detection, optimizing data architecture and reducing data storage costs.

The amount of data in every organization is growing, and security teams have to balance the need for more data visibility with increased costs and time to detect. Slower detection increases risk; detecting threats using SIEM and storage solutions can take hours, while attackers using AI and automation can move laterally within 20 minutes or less.

GreyMatter Transit represents a fundamental architectural shift in the way security operations teams can think about detection, away from such a heavy reliance on traditional storage tools like the SIEM to enable threat-detection. Traditional storage tools have a role to play, but security teams can no longer wait until data has been transferred to a central hub, giving threat actors more time to move around the environment while security teams wait for data to be indexed and stored. GreyMatter Transit processes threats at the speed of data – detecting threats in motion and enabling automated responses before threats can gain persistence. Natively built into the GreyMatter platform, Transit works autonomously alongside customers’ existing tools, teams and workflows.

"We’re in the midst of the great re-architecture of cybersecurity, and more than ever, security teams need optionality and modularity,” said ReliaQuest Founder and CEO Brian Murphy. "Traditional SIEM/storage approaches create costly delays for security teams, while attackers can move fast and cheap. The ability to detect in transit gives security teams the flexibility and speed they need to protect their business. GreyMatter Transit allows for that detection in transit, driving down cost and speeding up outcomes.”

“Because of the use of Agentic AI, cybersecurity is becoming a game of speed between the attackers and the defenders,” said Gopal Padinjaruveetil, CISO at The Auto Club Group. “If we’re waiting for data to get into the SIEM, and then to do correlation, and then to send an alert to someone, and then for someone to take an action on that alert, we’ve already lost valuable time to respond. GreyMatter Transit is going to help us increase our velocity so we can stay ahead.”
