CentralSquare Partners with Scotts Bluff County, Scottsbluff PD, Gering PD to Launch Countywide Community Engagement Portal

Intuitive portal facilitates communication, information sharing, and community engagement

LAKE MARY, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Law enforcement agencies in Scotts Bluff County, Neb., have launched a new countywide Community Engagement Portal, powered by CentralSquare Technologies. Championed by the collaborative efforts of Scottsbluff Police Department, Gering Police Department, and Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, the online portal is designed to facilitate communication, information sharing, and community involvement in public safety matters across all law enforcement agencies in the county.

“We’re committed to transparency and to providing tools that give citizens real-time information they need and to foster helpful engagement with law enforcement agencies,” said Chief Krisa Brass of the Scottsbluff Police Department. “The portal will launch in phases, starting with access to arrest warrants, current inmates, and registered sex offenders. Future updates will allow residents to submit tips, request patrols, and give feedback. With an intuitive design, Scotts Bluff County residents can easily search by name, address, or offense.”

“This portal benefits all residents of the county, which means you have visibility into activity in and near where you live,” said Sheriff Mark Overman of the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office. “For example, if the border between your city and another is a block away from your home, you can view information for the entire area nearby, including unincorporated areas.”

“Working with Scottsbluff Police Department and the Scotts Bluff Sheriff’s Department to achieve this milestone underscores the importance of transparency and efforts to make our communities safer,” said Chief George Holthus of the Gering Police Department. “As we use the portal, we can expand upon its features.”

“We’re proud to support law enforcement agencies in Scotts Bluff County with a powerful new portal that brings unprecedented transparency and accessibility to public safety data,” said Brian Fugere, Chief Product Officer at CentralSquare Technologies.
