Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he earned an Honours Degree in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto, his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed a two-year orthodontics residency at Tufts. He was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society and has received multiple awards in dentistry and orthodontics throughout his career.
