Suffolk Technologies BOOST 6 Cohort Redefines What’s Next for the Built World

BOOST 6 startups are driving the next era of construction with AI agents, robotics, and sustainable materials.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suffolk Technologies is proud to announce the eight startups selected to participate in its sixth annual BOOST program. Following another strong application cycle with over 200 submissions, the BOOST 6 cohort represents the next wave of pioneering solutions poised to redefine how we design, construct, and operate the built world around us.

This year’s applications point to major shifts in the industry, with deep tech, agent-based systems, and sustainable materials leading the way. Startups in materials science saw an 80% year-over-year increase in applications, while submissions related to robotics and equipment rose by 60%. References to AI agents nearly tripled, highlighting the rapid adoption of intelligent orchestration tools. Interest in industrialized construction and jobsite safety also surged, evidenced by a 4.5x rise in modular and prefab solutions, alongside a 63% increase in predictive safety and workforce protection technologies.

“Technologies like AI, robotics, and advanced materials are no longer on the horizon; they are here, and the industry is eager to implement,” said Parker Mundt, Partner and Head of Platform at Suffolk Technologies. “Our Operating Partner network is more committed than ever to adopting and scaling these solutions. By connecting these industry leaders with exceptional founders, BOOST augments core built world processes to accelerate our transition to a smarter, safer, more efficient, and sustainable built environment.”

Since launching BOOST in partnership with innovative builder Suffolk in 2020, the program has grown into the industry’s leading accelerator. This year, it features its largest Operating Partner network yet, 54 global organizations spanning the full value chain of the built environment, a 50% year-over-year increase that reflects the industry’s accelerating push for innovation. This network gives startups direct access to partners, customers, pilot projects, and investors, helping transformative solutions reach the market faster than ever.

The BOOST 6 Cohort:

  • ARKIA design system that helps architecture and engineering firms complete projects 50% faster by intelligently leveraging past data.
  • Cyphra AutonomyAn autonomous material movement solution tailored for the built environment.
  • Dig EnergyA geothermal drilling technology that is more cost-efficient, compact, and thermally effective than traditional equipment.
  • HardlineA voice-first orchestration platform built specifically for construction teams.
  • MODA platform that evaluates prefab potential in architectural designs and organizes supply chain opportunities to accelerate prefabrication adoption.
  • Neuron FactoryAn AI coworker platform designed to optimize and improve the daily tasks of construction workers.
  • Ouros MaterialsUltra-tough, resilient, low-cost composite materials using captured CO₂ to reduce environmental impact.
  • Puppet RoboticsAn AI-driven collaborative robotics platform for construction, starting with welding through imitation learning and teleoperation.

Since its inception, the BOOST program has graduated 30 alumni, including Trunk Tools, Exodigo, Emidat, and Rugged Robotics, who have gone on to raise more than $700 million in funding, with many receiving follow-on investments from Suffolk Technologies. Many past participants have also launched pilots with both Suffolk and their Operating Partners globally. The BOOST 6 program will run for eight weeks, culminating in a Demo Day on November 19th in Boston, where the startups will present their solutions to key industry leaders and investors.

The BOOST 6 program is presented in partnership with the following partners: Acciona, Airtower Networks, AMLI Residential, Andersen Windows & Doors, ARCO, Autodesk, Axiom Builders, Beedie Capital, BI Group, Bluebeam, Bouygues, Build Boston, CBT Architects, Century Drywall, Cleveland Construction, Component Assembly, Cupertino Electric, EJ Electric, Erland, Exyte, Feldman Geospatial, Goldbeck, Group Amana, Gunderson Dettmer, Harkins Builders, Haskell, Hitachi Construction Machinery, Holcim, JJ Albanese, Kajima, Karas and Karas, Keller, Knutson Construction, Liberty, Liberty Mutual, LMRE, McCusker-Gill, Moog, Procore, RXR, Saint-Gobain, Schneider Electric, Select Demo, Shape, Simpson Strong-Tie, Socotec, Suffolk, Suffolk Design, Swire Properties, Tidhar, United Rentals, Viega, Weyerhaeuser, Zwick.
