“As a member-owed credit union, we care deeply about the whole wellbeing of our military communities,” said Keith Hoskins, executive vice president of military affairs and strategic partnerships at Navy Federal. “We’re combating food insecurity and hunger for Veterans through actionable solutions that eliminate barriers to food alongside our members, team members and Feeding America.”

Through September 30, individuals can get involved by donating to Feeding America at www.noplateleftbehind.com. Every $5 helps provide 50 meals* to individuals facing hunger. One hundred percent of donations will be provided for unrestricted use toward each food bank's areas of greatest need and to support the Veteran community in their service areas.

“We can end hunger when we all work together,” said Lauren Biedron, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Feeding America. “We are grateful for the dedicated support of Navy Federal Credit Union and its membership for their commitment to supporting food banks and people facing hunger.”

The credit union is also encouraging all team members to join the fight against hunger by giving back to their local communities through a variety of activities, such as:

  • Donate non-perishable food items. Collection bins will be set up at Navy Federal branches nationwide and on Navy Federal campuses in Florida, Virginia and California.
  • Wear orange on September 9 (Hunger Action Day) to elevate awareness around hunger issues.
  • Participate in food drives and distribution of meals at local Feeding America partner food banks to help increase impact in local communities across the nation.

Since 2023, over 2.86 million meals have been donated to food banks with large military and Veteran populations in their service areas through No Plate Left Behind. Navy Federal team members also volunteered over 6,000 hours to help provide more than 50,000 meals to local Feeding America food banks across the country.
