Voyager Appoints SpaceX Veteran Sam Patel as Strategic Advisor

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Voyager Technologies, Inc. [NYSE: VOYG] appointed Shyamal “Sam” Patel as a strategic advisor and member for the Strategic Advisory Board, bringing his extensive technical expertise in rapid program buildouts and large-scale manufacturing as the company scales to meet soaring aerospace and defense demand.

“Sam is a builder who can turn technology and innovation success into large-scale operational reality, just as he did with the SpaceX Starbase,” said Dylan Taylor, Chairman & CEO, Voyager. “His mindset embodies our ‘neo-prime’ mentality, which focuses on leveraging technology and innovation with agility, speed and flexibility to deliver on mission critical programs at scale.”

At SpaceX, Patel supported launch engineering, operations and pad infrastructure for Falcon 9 and the Starship program. Reporting directly to CEO Elon Musk, Patel also led end-to-end site development for Starbase, everything from launch systems and power generation to water sourcing and operational logistics, scaling capabilities at unprecedented speed to meet ambitious schedule goals.

“What drew me to Voyager is really twofold: their mission – defending the freedom of the western world and our allies and their neo-prime approach,” said Patel. “That’s what is allowing them to really push through production deliverables in a different way. They also have the uncanny knack to find and enable innovative technologies that haven’t previously had the opportunity to be deployed as solutions in the market.”

Patel will focus on strategic systems, where Voyager is accelerating manufacturing scale-up of multi-use technologies for initiatives such as Golden Dome. Voyager’s capabilities, which range from AI-enabled sensing and data processing, advanced satellite systems, space-rated electronics and hardware and modular space infrastructure, are designed to deliver rapid, affordable and mission-ready capabilities for defense and commercial space customers.

With aerospace and defense markets expanding rapidly, Voyager is scaling production to ensure the delivery of next-generation systems that protect national security and advance humanity’s reach in space.
