WEBTOON Entertainment Brings Webcomics to Life with Video Episodes

WEBTOON is officially launching short-form videos, expanding the WEBTOON experience from reading to watching, and giving users a new way to fall in love with some of the world’s best webcomics

Hit titles like “The Mafia Nanny,” “Star Catcher,” and “Osora” are among the first “Video Episode” series

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq: WBTN), a leading global entertainment company and home to some of the world’s largest storytelling platforms, today announced Video Episodes, a new short-form video feature that brings some of WEBTOON’s most exciting series to life on the company’s English-language platform. With dynamic motion, immersive sound and music, and real voice acting, Video Episodes let fans choose between reading or watching some of the best stories in the world on WEBTOON. Developed in close collaboration with WEBTOON Creators, Video Episodes immerse audiences in a new form of visual storytelling.

Starting today, a selection of 14 English WEBTOON Originals will each feature 20, five-minute Video Episodes available for free. New Video Episodes will continue to roll out through the rest of 2025, with additional episodes from the 14 launch titles and Video Episodes for new titles.
