AM Best to Join Panel Discussion at 2025 ICMIF Americas Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will participate on a panel during the 30th annual ICMIF Americas Conference, to be held Aug. 27-29, 2025, at the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen in San José, Costa Rica.

Carlos De la Torre, managing director of operations of AM Best’s Mexico-based subsidiary, will join the panel, “What do policyholders want, and what are the key obstacles to aligning insurance offerings with their demands?” The panel discussion will cover topics that include the identification of policyholders' needs and expectations, how to match needs to outcomes and how to consider obstacles to offering products that meet policyholders' expectations. The session is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. CDT. Panel participants also include Amilcar Cordoba, CEO, Seguros Fedpa, Panama; Saúl Ordoñez González, policyholder advocacy center (CDA), Costa Rica; and Daysi Rosales, CEO, Seguros Futuro, El Salvador. De la Torre joined AM Best in 2018 and has more than two decades of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries.
