CFA Institute Appoints Mona Naqvi as Managing Director, Research, Advocacy and Standards

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces the appointment of Mona Naqvi as Managing Director, Research, Advocacy & Standards, effective 8 September 2025.

Reporting to President and CEO, Margaret Franklin, CFA, Mona will join the CFA Institute global leadership team with responsibility for the strategic direction and leadership of the organization’s research, advocacy, and standards efforts across the investment industry – including work delivered through the CFA Institute Research and Policy Center.

Mona’s role will include oversight of the CFA Institute Research and Policy Center — the organization’s platform for developing independent research, shaping policy, and setting standards. The Center brings together CFA Institute expertise with a global community of industry and subject matter experts to address pressing issues in capital markets.

Mona previously held senior leadership roles at S&P Global, most recently as Global Head of Sustainable Capital Markets & Investment Research, and also served as founder and chair of the S&P Global Investor Client Council. Earlier in her career, she was a climate policy advisor to the Obama Administration, an economist at the Bank of England, and a Research Director at the sustainable finance think tank 2° Investing Initiative.
