MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Manitowoc Company, Inc. (NYSE: MTW) announced today that its subsidiary Grove US LLC has received Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, or CMMC, Level 2, with a perfect 110 score. Manitowoc is among a small percentage of companies currently compliant with the new, more rigorous CMMC rule that went into effect on December 16, 2024.

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), developed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), is intended to strengthen the safeguarding of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) throughout the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Now a mandatory requirement for all contractors seeking to conduct business with the DoD, CMMC introduces a comprehensive and scalable certification framework grounded in cybersecurity best practices. Its rigorous evaluation process is designed to ensure that defense suppliers can effectively protect sensitive data from cyber threats -- an essential safeguard in maintaining U.S. national security.
