As AI transforms companies’ talent needs, Harver is investing in leadership that understands this challenge and is committed to delivering thoughtful, human-centered solutions to predict the best talent outcomes for their clients. Harver’s mission is rooted deeply in the belief that better hiring improves people’s lives, and by leveraging over 40 years of People Science from leading Industrial and Organizational research, it is already delivering on this mission at scale, across the globe.

To further this goal, Sean Barry has joined Harver as CEO. A seasoned, customer-focused leader, Barry brings two decades of experience helping organizations maximize the value of technology and data to solve large scale challenges for global companies. He has built high performing teams at technology and tech-enabled companies like Allconnect (now Red Ventures), Rent (now Zillow), Bridgevine (now Updater), and MCI (now Verizon), delivering enterprise-grade products, solutions, and services that are mission critical to client success.

“Our customers are under pressure to deliver results in a hiring environment that’s changing faster than ever,” said Barry. “The chance to align Harver’s deep scientific knowledge, data, and products to enable our clients to successfully navigate the obstacles ahead is exciting. We’re here to help them find the right talent and predict the great-fit talent quickly, fairly, and confidently—all while delivering a stellar candidate and hiring manager experience.”

To further Harver’s commitment to I/O Psychology and both People and Data Science, Dr. Ben Porr has been promoted to Chief Science Officer. Since joining Harver in 2018, Ben has championed Harver’s People Science mission, ensuring its solutions are grounded in evidence-based, ethically sound practices.

In this new role, Dr. Porr will lead Harver’s team of scientists and work cross-functionally with product and engineering to ensure the accuracy, transparency, and legal defensibility of Harver’s solutions. He will also partner with customers to ensure their evolving business needs are met with rigorously validated, high-impact tools that identify the best-fit candidates quickly.

“Every hiring decision we influence can be improved through our unique blend of decades of scientific insights and highly effective user experience. We take our remit to heart, so ethics and defensibility are core to everything we do,” said Dr. Porr. “I’m excited to focus fully on advancing our science so customers can make confident, high-stakes decisions—quickly finding and matching the right candidates to best-fit roles, with fairness and precision. Without People Science, hiring is just a coin toss. With it, we can solve the right problems, at scale and with integrity.”

The rapid acceleration of AI in talent acquisition presents incredible opportunities, but also real risk. As hiring teams adopt increasingly complex tools, it’s critical they operate seamlessly with data and scientific principles. Harver’s assessments and automation platform integrate with clients’ existing ATS and HRIS tech stacks to help organizations make smarter and more equitable hiring decisions. Without scientific discipline, AI-powered tools risk reinforcing bias, eroding trust, and exposing organizations to legal risk.

“This leadership change is a natural progression of the company and reflects our confidence in the value Harver can deliver,” said Vincent Chao, Partner at Rubicon Technology Partners. “We have invested in Harver to help companies prepare for the next wave of talent acquisition in a world where AI is fundamentally changing how they hire. Sean’s proven leadership and customer-oriented approach ensures Harver can deliver on that promise at scale, responsibly, and with the customer at the center.”
