Triton Digital Releases the May 2025 U.S. Podcast Ranker

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Triton Digital®, the global technology and services provider to the digital audio, podcast, and broadcast radio industries, announced today the release of its May 2025 reporting period (April 28, 2025 – June 1, 2025) U.S. Podcast Ranker, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.

This month, we are pleased to welcome Gamut Podcast Network to our U.S. Podcast Ranker.

Ranking #1 for the May 2025 Top Sales Networks Report again was iHeart Audience Network, which garnered 72.5M Average Weekly Downloads and 21.1M Average Weekly Users. Following suit once again was NPR ranking #2 with 27.4M Average Weekly Downloads and 7.2M Average Weekly Users, and coming in again at #3 was Audacy Podcast Network with 15.3M Average Weekly Downloads and 5.9M Average Weekly Users.

For the second consecutive month, the top three podcasts based on downloads included NPR News Now (NPR) again at #1, Up First (NPR) coming in at #2, and Stuff You Should Know (iHeart Audience Network) at #3.

The top three podcasts based on listeners also ranked the same for a second month in a row, with NPR News Now (NPR) at #1, Up First (NPR) at #2, and Shawn Ryan Show (Cumulus Podcast Network) rounding out at #3.

There were several debuts for the month of May, including Deep Cover (iHeart Audience Network), Cold (Lemonada Media), Small Town Dicks (Audioboom), and more for both downloads and listeners.

Additional shows that debuted for downloads only included The Trial Of Karen Read | Justice For John O'Keefe (Audioboom) and Amy & T.J. (iHeart Audience Network).

The Top Sales Network Reports are ranked by Average Weekly Downloads and Average Weekly Users in accordance with v2.2 of the IAB Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines. Participating Sales Networks include content owners/creators and sales representation organizations.
