Metronet Announces 100% Fiber-Optic Network Build

EVANSVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Metronet, named the “Fastest Major ISP in the Nation” by PCMag for two consecutive years, has announced it’s bringing its 100% fiber-optic internet network to Mount Pleasant, Wis. This privately funded, multimillion-dollar project will bring lightning-fast, multigigabit speeds to local residents and businesses, offering up to five gigabits per second for homes and up to ten gigabits per second for businesses.

Construction is expected to begin this summer with the first customers anticipated to gain service before the end of the year. Residents and businesses interested in signing up for updates and pre-sale opportunities can visit metronet.com/wi/mount-pleasant.

Construction will begin soon and progress neighborhood by neighborhood. Residents will see Metronet crews in the area and receive advance notice of upcoming work through mailers, yard signs, and other community communications at least 30 days before construction begins. All Metronet personnel will be clearly identified with company-branded vehicles and ID badges.
