Kalahari Resorts & Conventions Celebrates 25 Years of Unforgettable Experiences

America’s Largest Indoor Waterparks kick off 25th anniversary celebration with USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Best Indoor Water Park and Best Water Slide recognitions

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wisc.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, home to America’s Largest Indoor Waterparks, is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025. What began as a dream to bring African-inspired experiences to the Midwest has grown into a nationally celebrated collection of destination resorts, renowned for unforgettable family adventures, exceptional hospitality and award-winning guest experiences.

This year, Kalahari is also celebrating recent accolades from USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, earning the title of Best Indoor Water Park for the third consecutive year - and for the first time, receiving recognition for Best Water Slide for the one-of-a-kind VR Waterslide at its Pocono Mountains resort, the first in the country.

Since opening its first location in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin in 2000, Kalahari has expanded to Sandusky, Ohio; the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania; and Round Rock, Texas - with its fifth resort underway in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, slated to open in 2026. Across every property, Kalahari has set the standard for family entertainment, offering expansive indoor and outdoor waterparks, luxurious spa experiences, diverse selection of dining options like Sortino’s Italian Kitchen and Cinco Niños, and immersive attractions designed for guests of all ages.

"Twenty-five years ago, we set out to redefine family getaways - and today, we're honored to see the continued love from our guests and industry peers," said Todd Nelson, CEO, owner, and founder of Kalahari Resorts. "Being recognized by USA TODAY, especially as we celebrate this milestone, is incredibly meaningful. It's a testament to the hard work of our teams, who are passionate about delivering the very best experiences both in and beyond the waterpark."

Throughout 2025, Kalahari will roll out a series of special experiences to thank guests for being part of its journey. To kick off the celebration, Kalahari is introducing the "25 Years of Adventure" package, which includes admission to both the indoor and outdoor waterparks, a $100 nightly dining credit, and up to four passes to its thrilling adventure parks - bringing the best of Kalahari together for an unforgettable stay.

In addition, in honor of its USA TODAY wins, Kalahari is launching a four-day flash sale. From Friday, May 2, 12:00am CST – Monday, May 5, 11:59pm CST, guests can unlock exclusive savings on overnight stays, waterpark day passes, cabana rentals and season passes by using promo code H2WOAH.

As Kalahari looks ahead to the next 25 years, the brand remains committed to its founding spirit of innovation, family, and fun - inviting new generations to experience the adventure that started it all.
