Horace Mann’s ‘Beyond Grateful’ Celebration Offers Educators a Moment to Breathe

Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Month with giveaways, virtual events and heartfelt thanks

SPRINGFIELD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As the school year winds down, many educators are running on empty. That's why Horace Mann is expanding Teacher Appreciation Week to a month of celebrations and saying loud and clear: We see you. We hear you. And we're beyond grateful.

Running now through May 28, the company’s “Beyond Grateful: Soak Up the Appreciation” celebration will provide a mix of encouragement, recognition and fun — all based on what educators say they need most. A recent Horace Mann national survey found that 39% of educators reported feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted. More than 30% said they don’t feel appreciated, yet the majority said they remain committed to their students and their calling.

“Teachers give so much of themselves every single day — and often don’t get the recognition they deserve,” said Steve Chauby, head of marketing and distribution at Horace Mann. “This celebration is our heartfelt way of saying thank you.”

Celebration Highlights:

Throughout the celebration, educators can join a series of free virtual events featuring entertainment, inspiration and gratitude from people who care deeply about educators. Featured guests include actress and math advocate Danica McKellar, Peloton instructor and wellness advocate Hannah Marie Corbin, Netflix’s Emily Calandrelli, singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton and many more.
