Ring Container Technologies Publishes Fourth Annual Sustainability Report

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ring Container Technologies, a leader in the plastic container manufacturing industry, today announced the release of “Pursuit of Excellence 2024,” the company’s fourth annual sustainability report highlighting environmental, social, and governance excellence.

The report underscores key achievements in areas such as energy efficiency, employee health and safety, and community engagement. It also showcases the company’s ongoing efforts to cut waste through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse – reinforcing its role in advancing sustainability.

Ring’s sustainability accomplishments can be segmented into three categories: innovation, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. Among the results highlighted by “Pursuit of Excellence 2024” are the following:

• Introduced to the market a stackable solution for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) that is the first of its kind.
• Reduced PET material usage by over 12.8 million pounds from TRIMLITE® technology.
• Awarded an EcoVadis Platinum Medal for the second year in a row and increased its overall score by nine points year-over-year.

Ring continues to strengthen its sustainability efforts with the release of its latest report, highlighting progress in reducing environmental impact and advancing responsible practices across its operations. In 2024, the company committed to setting a science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction target, in alignment with its stakeholders and sustainability goals. This follows years of monitoring and identifying reduction opportunities across scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. A formal commitment letter will be submitted to the Science Based Targets Initiative in 2025.
