The Standard Promotes Kevin Mannino and Hires Todd Smiser to Divisional Vice President Roles

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Standard recently promoted Kevin Mannino and hired Todd Smiser to divisional vice president roles in Retirement Plans. Mannino will lead our sales teams in the Midwest and Smiser will be responsible for our sales teams in the South. Each has in-depth knowledge of the retirement plans industry and embodies the company’s customer-centric values.

Mannino joined The Standard in July 2023 as a premier market sales director and has 14 years of experience in the retirement industry. He spent most of his career generating new business for mid- to large-sized retirement plans at Prudential Retirement. Prior to joining The Standard, Mannino served as senior director of distribution at Principal Financial Group. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree from Villanova University.

Smiser has more than 31 years of experience in the retirement industry, including 20 years in sales leadership. Prior to joining The Standard, he served as divisional vice president at OneAmerica, with prior experience at Voya and Empower. Smiser earned a bachelor’s degree from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
