Vantage Data Centers Launches Inaugural Safety Summit for Industry Leaders, Safety Professionals and Key Stakeholders

Registration is now open for the April 29th event, expected to be the largest industry-wide safety summit to date

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, today announced its first-ever safety summit designed to bring together industry leaders, safety professionals and key stakeholders to discuss best practices, innovations and strategies for an elite safety culture.

An all-day event, the Vantage Data Centers Safety Summit 2025 will be held in Columbus, Ohio, on April 29. Themed “Partnering for an Elite Safety Culture,” the summit will feature expert-led sessions, interactive panels and networking opportunities designed to deliver learnings and new approaches to elevate a safety culture within complex and large teams.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into safety protocols, risk management and emerging trends, such as strategies for addressing mental health, the financial impact of EH&S and how to build a thriving safety culture. They’ll also learn more about Vision Zero, Vantage’s programmatic approach to eliminating environmental health and safety-related incidents on construction sites and within operating data centers. In 2024, Vantage achieved a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of .26 despite a 45% increase in hours worked across development projects and operational facilities, far outperforming industry standards.

“At Vantage, one of our core pillars is ‘without safety, nothing else matters,’” said Trey Dean, global vice president of environmental health and safety at Vantage. “We’re excited to launch this annual safety summit to bring together industry partners and the data center ecosystem to share best practices and actions we can all take to go beyond checking the box and merely being compliant. Instead, our goal is to collectively stretch ourselves to create an elite safety culture unlike any other industry.”

In addition to Vantage’s executives and EH&S leadership team, the event will feature speakers from the American Society of Safety Professionals, Whiting-Turner and DPR Construction, as well as an exhibit hall with various sponsors.

The safety summit leads up to Construction Safety Week taking place the following week, May 5-9. For more information or to inquire about registration, please contact Jason Yocum, director of North America environmental health and safety at jason.yocum@vantage-dc.com.
