Boston University Questrom School of Business Faculty Recognized As Top-Cited Scientists & Most Impactful Researchers

More than 20 Questrom faculty members were acknowledged for single-year and career-long impacts by Stanford University

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--More than 20 Boston University Questrom School of Business faculty members were named among the top 2% of the world’s most impactful scientists across all disciplines and fields, according to a study from Stanford University. The study, which defines impact by identifying the top 2% of professors in terms of citations, recognized 19 Questrom faculty for their impact in a single year and 13 for impact across their entire careers, with 11 appearing on both lists.

The study, titled “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators,” is released annually by the publisher Elsevier. Elsevier uses “standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator (c-score).” To identify the top 2% of scientists by c-score, the full study and data set can be found here.

“To have so many faculty members acknowledged for their impactful research is proof that Questrom is home to some of the best professors in the world,” said Susan Fournier, Allen Questrom Professor and Dean of Questrom School of Business. “We have been building tremendous momentum through hiring and retention of world-class research faculty for over a decade, and it is wonderful to see this recognition of our research.”
