The Emily Program Expands Leadership in North Carolina with Two New Executive Directors

DURHAM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Emily Program, a national leader in eating disorder specialty care and behavioral health services, today announced the appointment of two new executive directors in North Carolina: CheaRon Darrett, LCSW, MPSA, who will lead The Emily Program’s Research Triangle Park (RTP) treatment center in Durham, NC, and Alischa Rodgers, LCMHC, who will oversee the eating disorder treatment center in Charlotte, NC.

Their leadership will play a crucial role in expanding access to specialized eating disorder care, strengthening community partnerships, and furthering The Emily Program’s mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate treatment for individuals struggling with eating disorders.

As of February 10, 2025, Darrett is leading the Durham adolescent inpatient and residential programs, as well as the Triangle partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs for adolescents and adults. With over 22 years of experience in human services, Darrett is a seasoned administrator, educator, speaker, consultant, and licensed clinical therapist. She has dedicated her career to serving communities by addressing the mental health and substance abuse needs of vulnerable populations. She identifies as a change agent who has successfully elevated organizations by implementing innovative strategies and practices that enhance service delivery and improve overall outcomes for clients. Her multifaceted approach reflects her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in both her community and the broader mental health landscape.

Rodgers assumed her role as executive director of The Emily Program’s eating disorder treatment center in Charlotte on February 17, 2025. A Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina, Rodgers brings over 20 years of experience in behavioral health. Her comprehensive expertise encompasses leadership and management roles, along with the provision of counseling and case management services to individuals and families across diverse settings, including schools, homes, and community agencies. Additionally, she possesses substantial knowledge in delivering psychosocial education on a wide array of subjects. Prior to her tenure at The Emily Program, Alischa served as the Executive Director of an adult mental health treatment center, successfully guiding it from its inception. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated remarkable proficiency and commitment, having held prominent leadership roles in esteemed organizations, including a major hospital system in North Carolina and a leading health insurance provider.
