Werner® Earns Transport Topics Sustainability Pathfinder Award

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Werner Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, is proud to receive the Transport Topics Sustainability Pathfinder Award for its continued leadership in sustainability within the transportation industry. The company was one of two recipients this year, along with IMC Logistics.

The award, introduced in 2024, recognizes companies that excel in promoting environmental responsibility and implementing innovative sustainable practices. Werner's commitment to reducing emissions, enhancing fuel efficiency and advancing green technologies has earned the company this prestigious recognition.

“It’s a privilege to be recognized with the Transport Topics Sustainability Pathfinder Award,” said Werner’s Senior Vice President of the One-Way Network and Innovation Council Leader, Chad Dittberner. “This award reflects our power team's dedication to reducing environmental impact through innovative solutions for our company, our customers and the industry as a whole.”

As part of its broader strategy to reduce its carbon footprint by 55% by 2035, Werner actively tests and validates advanced fuel technologies to reduce emissions across its fleet. The company also focuses on increasing fuel efficiency through advanced trailer aerodynamics and the use of auxiliary power units (APUs). Additionally, Werner maintains one of the youngest fleets in the industry, ensuring its commitment to sustainability is backed by state-of-the-art technology and practices.

The awards were presented on March 12 at the ATA Technology & Maintenance Council’s Annual Meeting in Nashville during the TMC Industry Awards Luncheon.
