Community Health Systems Completes Divestiture of ShorePoint Health System in Florida

FRANKLIN, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE: CYH) announced today that subsidiaries of the Company have completed the divestiture of ShorePoint Health – Port Charlotte in Port Charlotte, Florida, certain assets of ShorePoint Health – Punta Gorda, in Punta Gorda, Florida, and related businesses to subsidiaries of Adventist Health System Sunbelt Healthcare Corporation (AdventHealth) for $260 million. The entry into the definitive agreement for this transaction was announced on November 22, 2024, and the closing was effective March 1, 2025.
