Totino’s™ Pizza Rolls™ Makes Big Game Ad Debut with Comedic Smash Featuring Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson

The out-of-this-world comedy is back with Chazmo, everyone’s favorite new Totino’s Pizza Rolls fanatic, delivering the brand’s quintessential humor and the most snackable pizza in the universe

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Just days before football’s biggest night, Totino’s Pizza Rolls is unveiling its first-ever Big Game commercial “Chazmo Finally Goes Home”, featuring the return of comedic duo Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson as they plan to say farewell to Chazmo, their out-of-this-world, pizza roll-loving friend.

Written by Zach Kanin (“I Think You Should Leave” and “Detroiters”) and directed by Alice Mathias (“I Think You Should Leave”), the acclaimed comedic team is dishing their signature humor in celebration of the most snackable pizza in the universe.

“Fans can tune in on game day to see their favorite Totino’s Pizza Rolls and favorite Detroiters like they’ve never seen before,” said Tim Robinson.

“Chazmo Finally Goes Home” marks the first Big Game ad ever for the frozen pizza category and General Mills’ return to the Big Game after more than a decade. This unforgettable moment for pizza and football fans alike is part of the Totino’s Pizza Rolls overall strategy to help take the beloved Midwestern brand from regional darling to everyone’s favorite way to eat pizza coast to coast.

Tim and Sam first teamed up with Totino’s Pizza Rolls last fall for “Chazmo Goes Home” where they starred as suburban dads and introduced fans to the intergalactic visitor Chazmo, who had become friends with their kids and ate all of their pizza rolls.

“I never got to really know Chazmo, but at least I got to spend the time enjoying Totino’s Pizza Rolls,” said Sam Richardson.

“Chazmo Finally Goes Home” features the conclusion to Tim and Sam’s farewell to Chazmo. In a humorous and unexpected twist, and with a bag of his beloved Totino's Pizza Rolls in hand, Chazmo's heartfelt farewell is abruptly interrupted, leaving Tim and Sam in shock and hilariously scrambling to maintain composure.

“Totino’s Pizza Rolls promised fans a humorous, memorable Big Game ad debut, and we’re delivering,” said Blake Holman, Business Unit Director, Totino's. “We’re proud to partner with Tim, Sam, Zach, and Alice to create an ad that will leave you hungry for more from the brand as we continue to expand nationally.”

Totino’s Pizza Rolls is also bringing back “Hang Time,” its first Spanish-language ad for the Big Game. The spot will air as a separate Spanish-language ad on Fox Deportes and Telemundo during February’s Big Game.

“Chazmo Finally Goes Home” was brought to life by General Mills in partnership with Dentsu Creative, UM, Edelman, and The Social Lights. Fans can stock up on Totino’s Pizza Rolls ahead of Sunday’s game and check out the spot now on YouTube, plus follow along for more fun by visiting Totinos.com and keeping up with @Totinos on Instagram.
