Porter Airlines Boosts New York Presence with New LaGuardia Service

Toronto Pearson route begins in May

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Porter Airlines is expanding its footprint in New York with the launch of new year-round service to LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Starting May 1, 2025, up to three daily roundtrip flights will operate between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and LaGuardia.

Porter will be based at LaGuardia’s new award-winning Terminal B, which has recently undergone a $5.1 billion US redevelopment. The initial flight schedule is as follows:

The service provides convenient connections through Toronto Pearson to Porter’s extensive domestic network, including Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Additionally, Porter’s interline partnership with JetBlue will offer passengers numerous onward connections at LGA across the southern U.S.

The route will be operated by Porter’s new 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, offering passengers an elevated travel experience with no middle seats and free, fast WiFi for everyone.

A selection of premium snacks, and free beer and wine served in glassware are included for all passengers on this route. Priority check-in, extra legroom seats and ticketing flexibility are also available with the all-inclusive PorterReserve fares or may be purchased à la carte with PorterClassic fares.

This addition complements Porter’s existing operations at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Porter has been serving the New York-New Jersey market since 2008 with flights from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) to Newark. In 2023, Porter expanded its Newark service by adding flights from Ottawa International Airport (YOW). The combined routings will offer up to 15 daily roundtrips.
